As we come to the end of the year, the dojo continues to grow through the high-level instruction and the commitment shown in every class. The journey of karate is a fulfilling one—experienced fully only by those who choose to continue walking this path. Simply showing up is not a journey; applying your karate training in all aspects of daily life—especially respect—helps center you and strengthens your character.
I love to teach and to keep learning new ways to instruct, with the hope that each of you gains deeper understanding through PSKC training. Sharing my knowledge and experiences gives me purpose. I hope, in some small way, that it positively impacts your life and helps you face adversities and challenges when they appear. Each one of my students holds a special place in my heart. Please know that I never hold back in my teaching and will always do what is right for you. My hope is that, in time, you will do the same for others and know the deep reward of a student’s success—knowing you played a part in their journey.
The training is tough, and the path is not always smooth, but if you stay the course of a true karate-ka, you can achieve anything. Becoming a PSKC Black Belt is not a destination—it is a lifelong journey of understanding and growth.
PSKC will always challenge each of its members to improve their skills, but more importantly, to develop a stronger sense of family and purpose. Thank you for your dedication and support of PSKC since 1992.
Lisa and I thank you for being part of our dojo family, and we wish you and your family a happy holiday season and a Happy New Year!
